1. Simple Present Tense
this tense has two usefulness that is :
1. To express a habitual action or action that is usualy is done is everyday
Example :
~ My uncle drinks coffee every morning
~ They often come to school by bus
2. To express a general truth or truth having the character of public
Example :
~ The sun rises in the east
~ Iron sinks in the water
Special for subject consisted of by its the third person singular is getting suffix s/es
Example :
~ She always studies hard every evening
~ Mr. Teddy plays tennis every Sunday
~ He shaves every morning
Usual adverb applied in this tense is : always, often, never, seldom, every……….
2. Simple Present Continuous Tense
Form of this tense applied to express a case is being taking place at the moment. taken place it possible case only some times last until now and possibly will take place or akn completed a few moments again.
Example :
~ I am writing a letter
~ She is singing a song
~ We are watering flowers
~ They are eating breakfast
~ Susi is cooking a cake
Usual adverb applied in this tense is : now, recently, at the moment
3. Simple Present Perfect Tense
The present perfect expresses the idea that something happened (or never happened) before now, at an unspecified time in the past. the exact time it happened is not important. if there is a specific mention of time, the simple past is used.
the present perfect also expresses the repetition of an activity before now. the exact time of each repetition is not important
Example :
~ I saw that movie last night
~ I have written my wife a letter every other day for the last two weeks
~ He has lived in many countries
4. Simple Future Tense
The future expresses an activity that will be in progress at a time in the future. sometimes there is little or no differences between the future and the simple future, especially when the future event will occur at an indefinite time in the future, as in and.
Usual adverb applied in this tense is : tomorrow, latter
Example :
~ She will bone the meat later
~ He will finish his work tomorrow
~ Mary will come tomorrow
5. Simple Future Perfect
The future expresses an activity that will be in completed before another time or event in the future.
Example :
~ I will have finished my homework
~ I will have studied by the time you come
6. Simple Past Tense
The simple past indicates that an activity or situation began and ended at a particular time in the past
Example :
~ I bought a new car three days ago
~ He lived in Jakarta for ten years
7. Simple Past Continous Tense
Example :
~ He was fishing yesterday
~ The trout was rising when they reached the lake
8. Simple Past Perfect Tense
The past perfect expresses an activity that was completed before another activity or time in the past
Example :
~ He arrived after she had left
~ My parents had already eaten by the time I got home
~ until yesterday, I had never heard about it
